Research
Key research areas
The research group Land Management & Governance (LAND) has the land and property development process at its center, especially the legal aspects of planning, property formation and the management of land and its resources, but also the consequences these have on property-economic and property rights. The main research areas are:
- Planning law and property rights
- Property design and registration
- Property data
The research done in the group has been ongoing since the beginning of Aalborg University, and has been a cornerstone in the education of the chartered surveyors long before that.
Application
Enhanced practical knowledge heightens the chances of legislation and processes being applied correctly.
Research in detailed land use plan legislation and road legislation are examples of this.
Knowledge of legal procedures in the field creates a foundation for change and improvement of the processes related to property formation.
